About Dan
Dan has around 40 years of experience in the Jewelry trade. He began learning how to cut stones around the age of 13. He began carving waxes in high school to fashion mountings for the stones that were cut. When Dan got married in 1983, he really began his career in the jewelry trade. Once moving to Grand Rapids, Dan worked as a diamond setter at Terry Berry Manufacturing, where he stayed for about 10 years. After leaving Terry Berry, Dan worked doing design and repair work for a number of jewelers in West Michigan and a handful of other states until he decided to open his own store.
Daniel J. Reynolds, Jeweler opened for business in 1996 out of a sewing room in the front of our home. Within 6 months we opened a storefront on Main Street. By 1998 we moved to our current location at 21 W. Cherry Street. We are a family owned jewelry store and we provide the majority of services that we offer in-house. Dan is the master bench man. He does casting, hand-engraving, jewelry design, jewelry repair, lapidary services, stone setting, torch work, wax carving and more! Although Dan is busy in the back most of the time, he is available by appointment and occasionally helps in the showroom. Our specialties include customized design, jewelry restoration, lapidary work and specialty gemstone setting. While many people know of us for repair of jewelry or replacing watch batteries. Whatever your need may be, we are happy to be of service. |
